Cricket is a cute and cuddly two-year old beagle. She takes a few minutes to warm up to new people, but when she does she'll happily spend the rest of the night snuggling on their lap. This lovely girl was given up because her owners got a new puppy - so sad for Cricket. They left her tied to the fence of the animal pound. Luckily, we were asked to take her into our care. Cricket gets along great with other dogs and happily plays with her foster brother (a 90 pound rottweiler). She hasn't been around cats, but would likely be fine with any cat who wouldn't be upset by her playful nature. She can be a bundle of energy at times, but is fully house trained and is not destructive or noisy when left alone. Because of her energetic nature, Cricket would be best suited to a household that could take her on several walks a day. A fully fenced backyard for her to play in would be recommended. Since beagles are more than happy to take off after a scent, it's recommended that she never be off leash or be allowed in an area where she could run off. Cricket is spayed and up-to-date on her vaccinations. She weighs about 22 pounds.
